Robert LeRoy Kennen 1939–2000

Robert LeRoy Kennen 60, of Rush City, died suddenly on Saturday, July 22, 2000. He was born on Nov. 5, 1939 in Sturgeon Lake, the son of Everett and Evelyn Kennen. He was raised in Meadowlands, MN and began driving milk truck when he was just 13 years old. He graduated from high school in 1957, he moved to Rush City and worked various jobs, including public works for the City of Rush City.

On June 18, 1960, he married Janet Sederberg of Rush City. After living in Hopkins for a year, they returned to Rush City and had two children, Jaclynn and Gregory. In 1996 Bob's life was changed by Janet's death, but in 1998, he married Connie Johnson and they resided in rural Rush City.

He is survived by his wife, Connie, children, Jaclynn and her husband, Jon Pedersen of Stillwater; and Gregory of Scottsdale, AZ; grandchildren, Katelyn, David and Maren Pedersen, stepchildren, Peter Johnson, Christina and her husband Eric Rohlf, and Andrew Johnson, his mother, Evelyn Kennen-Smith, sisters, Lucille Sullivan and Marjorie Tracy, and brother Floyd Kennen.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Everett Kennen and his wife Janet Kennen.

Funeral services were July 27, at 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church of Rush City. The Rev. Laurie O'Shea officiating. Burial at the First Lutheran Cemetery of Rush City.
