After graduating from North Branch High School, Berthel Sederberg worked for Durkee Atwood until developing an allergy to chemicals. He stayed on the family farm until retirement when he built a small house nearby. He developed Parkinson Syndrome, lived at Green Acres Nursing Home for a month, and is buried in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in North Branch, Minnesota.

Berthel Reuben Sederberg was born in North Branch on Sept. 25, 1913 to John and Emma Sederberg. He died at Green Acres Country Care Center on Nov. 25, 1995 at the age of 82 years and two months.

Bert was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in North Branch all of his life, having been baptized and confirmed by Pastor A.G. Hammerberg. He was married there to Millie Hyland in Sept., 1975 by Pastor Terry Frovik.

While attending North Branch High School he was a good athlete, receiving letters in track and basketball. After graduation he worked a couple of years at Atwood Machine Co. in Minneapolis. He returned to North Branch to farm with his brother, Gilbert, on the family farm. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and craft work. This year he wanted to go on hunting despite his illness.

Bert is survived by his wife; by two sisters: Violet Farrell of North Branch and Frances Sederberg of Minneapolis; five nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. He was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services were Nov. 28 at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Clayton Rudolph officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were by Grandstrand Funeral Home, North Branch.
