Obituary and account of his death (North Branch Review) -

2-YEAR OLD BOY KILLED IN ACCIDENT THURSDAY MORNING

A tragic accident occurred on Thursday of last week when death took the small son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sederberg. Little LeRoy Sederberg was at play in the yard when the milk truck entered to pick up the milk. Mrs. Sederberg was busy in the house and had seen the little fellow a moment before.

There were no witnesses to what happened, but it is believed the little fellow was near the driveway and as the truck left the yard he either grabbed for the truck or stumbled into the rear wheels as it drove away.

A brother called his mother and the alarmed mother picked the little fellow up and hurried for help. He was rushed to a doctor and was taken to the Rush City hospital where he passed away within a few minutes.

Such tragedy comes as a terrible shock to the parents of this little lad and the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community goes out to them in their hour of sorrow. Such an accident, unexplainable, is most regretable. The death of one so young and innocent leaves a void in the hearts and memory of the bereaved parents and family.

Little LeRoy Harold Sederberg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sederberg, was born at North Branch on July 5, 1940. He was brought to the Lord in Holy baptism on November 10, 1940. On Thursday, October 15, he was the victim of an unfortunate accident near his home and passed away at the age of 2 years, 3 months and 10 days. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sederberg, three sisters and two brothers, namely, Norma, Verona, Geraldine, Gordon, Curtis; and also by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Sederberg.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, October 19, at two o'clock from the Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Vendel W. Olson officiating. A vocal selection was sung by Mr. Herbert Bloom and Mrs. Leonard Larson sang two selections. Interment was at the Trinity Lutheran cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Charles Sederberg, Willard Sederberg, Lyle Dahl and Arlie Sederberg.
