Harold's obituary (North Branch Review) -

Death struck suddenly in North Branch Friday afternoon of last week when a severe heart attack proved fatal to Harold Willis Sederberg. In ill health for about three weeks due to a series of heart attacks, death called Mr. Sederberg shortly after he was taken to Rush City hospital for treatment.

Harold Willis Sederberg was born near North Branch, September 15, 1901, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Sederberg. He was baptized and confirmed in Trinity Lutheran church in North Branch and this community had always been his home.

On January 3, 1930, he was united in marriage with Nina Magnuson and to this union eight children were born. One son, LeRoy, preceeded the father in death.

At death Harold had attained the age of fifty-four years and twenty-nine days.

Mr. Sederberg followed farming for a number of years but in recent years was employed by the Hilltop Feed Store.

Surviving are his wife; seven children, Mrs. Elvin (Elven) Ramberg (Norma) of Harris; Mrs. Ellis Johnson (Verona), Mrs. Norton Pearson, Jr. (Geraldine), Gordon, Curtis, Beverly and Kathleen, all of North Branch; his mother, Mrs. Peter Sederberg, North Branch; three sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Berglof of Duluth, Mrs. Gladys Norlund of Rush City and Mrs. Lillian Oslund of Bethel; five brothers, Herbert, Thanney, Arlie and Manfred of North Branch and Clarence of Rush City; three grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

The funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon of this week at the Trinity Lutheran church. Pastor Milton A. Gunberg officiated at the service and delivered the sermon. Mrs. Leonard Collin served at the organ and accompanied Mrs. Elmer Olson who sang two appropriate hymns. Interment was in Trinity Lutheran cemetery.

Serving as casketbearers were Arlie Sederberg, Jr., William Berglof, Willard Sederberg, Wallace Sederberg, Sidney Oslund and Allan Johnson.

Mr. Sederberg was also preceded in death by his father, in 1952, and a brother Charles.

The entire community joins in extending to the sorrowing family their deep sympathy in the untimely passing of a beloved husband, father, son and brother.

FIRE DESTROYS SEDERBERG HOME FRIDAY AFTERNOON

Fire of unknown origin completely destroyed the Harold Sederberg farm home on Friday afternoon of last week.

The North Branch fire department answered the call for help but before they could reach the fire it had gained such headway that members of the department concentrated their efforts to control the blaze while removing furniture and personal effects from the building.

The house was on the farm commonly known as the A. W. Anderson place, now owned by Berthol and Gilbert Sederberg.

Mr. and Mrs. Sederberg and family took temporary refuge with relatives and have now moved into North Branch where they reside in one of the Richard Gust houses.
