Full obituary: Cheryl Beth Foley passed away peacefully in her home early on Wednesday July 3, 2019 after a courageous two year fight with cancer.

Cheryl was born on January 6, 1957 in Rush City, Minnesota to Ellis and Verona (Sederberg) Johnson.

She graduated from North Branch High School with honors in 1975. She then continued her education at Mankato State University earning her bachelor’s degree in physical education. While attending college Cheryl met her future husband David Foley of Windom. The two were wed on March 15, 1980. Their marriage was blessed with two daughters Erin and Katelyn.

Cheryl loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was an avid golfer. She enjoyed spending time at her friend Luanne’s cabin and going on trips with a group of girlfriends from school, the Clara’s.

Cheryl is survived by her husband David Foley, daughters Erin and Katelyn Foley, grandson Bannon Wilhelmi, father Ellis Johnson of North Branch, two brothers Gary (Rosanne) Johnson of Stark, David (Verle) Johnson of North Branch, brother in law Edward (Margee) Foley of Yuba City, CA; four sister in laws Vicki (Bradley) Hartog of Highlands Ranch, CO; Lisa Berkness of Denver, CO; Stefanie (Jon) Beaulieu of Coon Rapids and Heather (Brian) Barrett of Crystal as well as seven nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Emma Foley, mother Verona Johnson, father in law Orville Berkness, and mother in law Fay Berkness.
